The architect's picnic in Cracow
On July 1st we celebrated the World Architecture Day established upon the initiative of the UIA (International Union of Architects). The aim of this celebration is to promote architecture, the architectural profession and, above all, to appreciate its enormous impact on the reality around us.
Architecture changes with the passing epochs. In modern times, we no longer focus only on beauty and functionality, but also on ecology and care for our common home - the Earth. Modern buildings and structures are energy-efficient, do not pollute the environment and use eco-friendly solutions. They are often integrated into natural surroundings, inspired by nature and the surrounding landscape.
The Architecture Day was the perfect opportunity to meet at Błonia in Cracow to celebrate together.
The slogan was 'Let's get to know one another', and the family and industry workshops we organised with our business partner PILKINGTON Polska Sp. z o.o. provided an excellent opportunity for integration Participants in the picnic could make their own 'crash glass' and their children could paint colourful pictures on glass. The special guest of the event was Krzysztof Miruć, a well-known architect, who was happy to share his knowledge and inspiration for his work. Despite the exceptionally hot day, the mood and atmosphere were fantastic.
