On Saturday August 6th yet another edition of the local running event within the 2022 Grand Prix of Bory Tucholskie took place - the Śliwice 10-kilometre run.

We have been patronising and supporting this event from the very beginning. We are very pleased with its growing popularity and the increasing number of participants.

The competition took place along the traditional route. The runners started from the centre of Śliwice at the Commune Culture Centre, they ran through Lińsk and Rosochatka, and they finished the competition at Commune Culture Centre in Śliwice. Different categories were prepared for the participants so that everyone could take part in the event: the main 10-kilometre run, the nordic walking march, and the children's run. The event was crowned by the presentation of prizes and the decoration of the competitors. It is worth mentioning that this year was characterised by the record participation. There were more than 600 competitors in all categories!

Plenty of attractions also awaited the participants and spectators, including a demonstration stand of the Territorial Defence Forces and forest inspectorates, a children's playground, and a prize draw for the youngest. A DKMS Foundation tent was also set up, where it was possible to become a member of the bone marrow donor database quickly and effortlessly.
