- minimum glass dimension: 300x150 mm
- maximum glass dimension: 7,000x3,210 mm
What should the thickness of the glass be?
You should specify the thickness of glass before ordering. The permissible thickness of tempered glass ranges from 4 to 19 mm. The glass thickness should be matched to its intended use. If case of doubt, it is worth consulting a specialist to determine what the thickness of the glass should be in your particular case. This will guarantee even greater safety.
Check if the glass has the necessary certificates
Tempered glass should meet a number of requirements that guarantee the quality and durability of the material and the end product. These requirements are specified in detail in EN 12150-1 Part One: Glass in construction. Thermally tempered soda lime silicate safety glass. It is essential to ensure that the glass you choose meets the EN 12150-1 standard! Please note, it is now mandatory for all tempered glass companies to obtain a certificate that the quality of the glass they produce complies with the requirements of the standard described.
