On 14th  October  runners from various corners of Poland got together in Śliwice. Despite the fact that the 2nd Śliwice Tenner took place at a different time as planned, it received great interest from the contestants. Second year in a row our company has had a chance to support the said competition.

It is undoubtedly one of the biggest sports events within the region. Originally, 2nd Śliwice Tenner was supposed to be held  on 12th August. However, the day before Tuchola Forest had been affected by a giant storm. The wind had broken the trees and damaged the houses. On 12th August telephone communication  was cut off. The emergency number 112 did not operate either . Due to safety reasons, the organisers were forced to cancel the event.  On that day  over 500 runners, out of 620 registered, arrived at Śliwice.  On 14th October 400 runners and race-walkers stood at the start of the race.

We support the sports

Since the very beginning ‘Wutkowski” company  has been a partner to the organisers of the Śliwice Tenner. We support the sports and running remains one of such disciplines within the region that receive our special  attention. This year each participant received  a starter pack including an exceptional technical T-shirt and a unique glass medal at the finish of the race. The organisers arranged for a special surprise for the contestants. Błażej Brzeziński, a leading Polish runner and the winner of the prestigious 39th Warsaw Marathon, arrived at Śliwice. Błażej was a person who gave the medals to the contestants at the finish of the race. On the stage he decorated the winners and  kept talking  about his last start.

The Third Tenner  next year

Opinions uttered by the  participants remain of special  importance to us and to the organisers as well. It turns out that all of them  are positive.  You may read them in the comments  on the social profile  of our local running team  “Biegające Śliwice” (Running Śliwice").

One conclusion can be drawn from this: the Second Śliwice Tenner remained a highly successful event .  Following the declarations from the contestants that they want to return to Śliwice next year, the organizers are now announcing the third edition of the Tenner. Its preliminary date is 18th August 2018. On behalf of the organizers and ourselves, we  strongly encourage everybody to take part in the race!
